The Different Pop-up Diner Themes

Every month is a different theme for the supper pop-ups. This includes a fun themed activity during the course of the meal. Read below to learn about each theme and what they’ll possibly entail. Below are the next up-and-coming themes. More themes to come.

The Fiery Bog – August

Save a strong, independent young lady from a fate most melt-y. Octo the Octupus, the king of the bog loves to collect lost souls who have been lead astray by the innocent blue orbs just trying to show the travelers a good time. Four children traveling the region made the mistake of visiting. They got lost, Octo found them, trapped them, and then they became deformed due to the fiery effects of the bog. Those who linger melt and form into creatures of the bog.

To save the young lady you must buy her freedom. Octo finds shiny beads most valuable. Collect all the beads to buy off Octo before its too late. In the mean time, enjoy a Cajun-style supper while sipping on a Faux du Sazerac and munch on Pepper Poppers, slurp down some gumbo-style Bog Stew, then finish the meal with a tasty, rich Peat Moss Mud Pie.

Supper with the Creatures – September

Come see the fantastic, strange, and bizarre creatures with an odd taste for human fingers. Each person will get a paper hand at the start of the meal to represent their hand and a sheet of paper with a pencil. As you enjoy finger foods like Pinky Purses and Lady Fingers Parfait, draw the best portrait you can of one of the creatures to appease them. Each portrait will be judged and the creatures will determine if you get to keep your (paper) fingers or not, so do your best! Your host Talus, will help interpret for the creatures. Make the creatures happy and you get to keep all your fingers.

Across the Vale – October

Step into the Otherworld. Be sure to wear a disguise to blend in with the ghost, goblins and other spirits that inhabit this land. If you don’t, you’ll be ‘marked’ and attract the attention of the local residents. This is not always good. Dine on local Otherworldly favorites such as Apple Bobs, End-of-Harvest stew or roast, and savor a Spicy Apple Cake. Warm your bones with Hot Apple Cider Whimsy Supper Club style. There’s a costume contest with prizes too!

Tasteful Descriptions

March 8th the Noshery starts taking orders. In the spirit of accepting orders, I’m providing descriptions of the offerings available at the Cottage Noshery. I’ll be adding new items too as time goes on. Enjoy these tasteful descriptions below to help you choose what to order!

Honeyed Pepita Cran Cake
– This is the healthiest of the cake options but still indulgent, this little bake drips with Oregon made honey with crunchy pumpkin seeds and sweetened cranberries creating a lovely fruit cake-like bite.

Ginger Snap Cake– Enjoy a bite of spicy crystallized ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon, a testament to sugar n’ spice making everything nice. This is topped with a lemon butter cream frosting to create that bright snap of flavor.

Plain Vanilla Jane– This tiny cake is vanilla all the way through from the cake to the frosting, but the flavor is complex and rich.

Paprika Dusted Cocoa Cake– Classic chocolate cake with a tasty twist. The cocoa and paprika create a burst of flavor that’ll knock you off your feet.

Pepita Cran Scone– Pumpkin seeds add a subtle savory flavor and crunch to this scone. Complimented by the dried cranberries which adds just enough sweetness.

Ginger Nutmeg– This was a popular choice when I first started the noshery. The sweet nutty flavor of nutmeg and the bite of crystalized ginger is quite a subtly addictive combo.

Cinnamon ginger– This scone is both spicy and fresh. A lovely apple butter jam would pair well with this yummy bake.

Ginger Cran– This is a refreshing scone with the right amount of sweet from the dried cranberry and the pleasantly cleansing taste of ginger.

These tasty delights will come in packages of 4 each, 8 each or 12 each. Noshes are priced at $2.50 each.

Cottage Noshery Opening March 15!

After a long hiatus, Whimsy Supper Club’s Cottage Noshery is reopening for 2022, March 15th. Look forward to properly made scones, small indulgent cakes, and rotating teas to-go.

The ordering structure for the Cottage Noshery has changed a little since last is was up and running. Hopefully it is much easier to order, and more user friendly. Orders can now be placed online through the website. Pay at pick-up.

The Noshery will start taking orders March 8th.
